Apple today announced a new power purchase agreement with European Energy for the Lancaster solar park in Victoria, Australia. This partnership is a key part of Apple's initiative to generate 1 million MWh of clean electricity annually in the country, aiming to match the energy its customers use to power their Apple devices with renewable sources. The Lancaster solar park, which will be operational in 2026, will contribute significantly to this goal with an approximate annual production of 216 GWh. In addition to the Australian solar project, Apple also revealed a new investment in New Zealand's Restore Fund Initiative, committing to the protection and restoration of 8,600 hectares of forestland in partnership with Climate Asset Management.
