ASML is investigating expanding its supply chain into Vietnam. The company is also exploring collaboration on establishing a local semiconductor training and research and development center.

This development follows a meeting between ASML Senior Vice President for strategic supply chain, Eduard Stiphout, and Vietnam’s Finance Minister Nguyen Van Thang.

The discussions focused on creating a comprehensive roadmap and financial mechanisms for the center. This facility is planned for the National Innovation Centre’s Hoa Lac campus.

ASML is considering establishing an official presence in Vietnam in the near future. This signals a commitment to long-term strategic cooperation as Vietnam aims to bolster its position in the global semiconductor industry.
