Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence division of Alibaba Group, will provide advanced cloud and AI technologies for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. This partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) continues a collaboration seen in previous games.
The deployment features Alibaba’s Qwen large language model (LLM). Qwen will power "Olympic AI Assistants" to support fan engagement and internal operations.
Alibaba Cloud will also introduce upgraded real-time 360-degree replay systems. These systems offer more immersive viewing experiences for global audiences. This initiative advances the IOC's move toward cloud-based and AI-enhanced broadcasting.
