Alibaba Group formed a strategic partnership with Malaysia's Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC). The collaboration, formalized via a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to foster artificial intelligence talent in the region.

The initiative will establish two key facilities in Medini, Johor: an AI Design Training Programme and an "Alibaba Centre of Excellence." The program seeks to produce certified AI experts capable of handling real-world projects.

The first intake for the training program is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. The initial cohort will include approximately 200 trainees.

Alibaba subsidiary Duiyo Pro, which focuses on AI design, will participate alongside other local and international entities. This move highlights Alibaba's ongoing efforts to expand its AI ecosystem and technological influence internationally.
