Bayer announced a $2.2 billion investment to build a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio. The project is part of the company’s long-term growth strategy to expand revenue and its presence in the United States, its largest pharmaceuticals market.

The campus will use a flexible, modular design that combines drug substance and drug product manufacturing with advanced automation. It is expected to create about 600 permanent jobs and about 1,500 construction jobs.

The site will support Bayer’s growing portfolio in oncology, cardiovascular and renal care, including Kerendia and Nubeqa. Production is scheduled to start in 2031, with a second module planned for 2034. The facility is intended to help Bayer deliver medicines to patients in the United States and globally.
