Shareholders of Jardine Matheson Southeast Asia Limited, formerly Jardine Cycle & Carriage, approved a special dividend at an Extraordinary General Meeting on October 1, 2026.
The dividend comprises a cash payment of US$0.37 per share and an in-specie distribution of Toyota Motor Corporation shares. Its total illustrative value is approximately US$0.73 per share. The total payout is around US$287 million.
The dividend follows a strategic review aimed at sharpening the company's portfolio and enhancing shareholder returns. Payment is expected on or around December 2, 2026.
Shareholders also overwhelmingly approved changing the company's name from Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited to Jardine Matheson Southeast Asia Limited. The rebranding reflects the company's strategic focus on its broader Southeast Asia portfolio.
