A delegation from Google for Education announced plans to support the establishment of a Chromebook manufacturing factory in Punjab, Pakistan, following a meeting with the province's Chief Minister. The initiative is aimed at bolstering technology-driven education and the local IT infrastructure in the region. The project includes the introduction of new software solutions in the upcoming Chromebooks to enhance digital learning. These will feature an Artificial Intelligence Toolkit with AI Gemini, a "Read Along" application to support English language learning, and the "Canva" design application. Google for Education has already trained over 2,000 public school teachers in the province, with further training sessions planned.
