JetBlue Airways issued travel waivers for flights scheduled between January 23 and January 25, 2026. The action precedes Winter Storm Fern, which expects to cause significant disruptions across the South, Midwest, and Northeast.

Winter Storm Fern projects heavy snow and ice. The storm is projected to affect up to 230 million people. It anticipates widespread flight cancellations and delays.

The waiver allows customers who booked before January 22 to rebook or cancel flights. This applies to travel to or from a dozen cities without penalty. American, Delta, and United also took similar actions as the industry prepares for operational challenges.
