Three passengers are suing Airbus, alleging negligence over a software glitch on a JetBlue Airbus A320 flight in October 2025. They claim the fault caused an "uncommanded loss of altitude."

The incident injured 18 passengers and four flight attendants. Pilots declared an emergency and diverted the flight.

The lawsuit claims Airbus allowed an "unreasonably dangerous" fault in the autopilot system to go unchecked. Following the late 2025 event, Airbus issued an alert. This alert prompted urgent software rollbacks on an estimated 6,000 A320 series aircraft worldwide to address a potential issue with the flight control system's computer.
