Li Auto Inc. announced that its fully self-developed high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) electric drive system earned recognition as one of China's "Top 10 New Energy Vehicle Powertrain Systems of the Year." The company received the award at the "China Heart" 2026 Powertrain Day and the 10th China Automotive Powertrain Technology Conference.
The recognized powertrain system features in the Li Auto i8. Li Auto achieved this system through full-stack in-house development, covering components from power chips to control software.
This vertical integration delivered an industry-leading electric drive efficiency of 93.08%. This performance translates directly to longer driving ranges and lower energy consumption for users.
The system also supports fast charging capabilities. This allows users to achieve 500 km of range from a 10-minute charge.
