Meta Platforms signed a 303 MW solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Origis Energy. The deal covers the Greyhound A Solar PV project, located in West Odessa, Texas.

The project is expected to become operational by mid-2026. This PPA supports Meta’s growing data center operations in Texas using renewable energy.

The agreement underscores Meta’s broader strategy of investing heavily in infrastructure for its artificial intelligence ambitions. Securing large-scale renewable energy sources is critical for powering the energy-intensive data centers that form the backbone of its AI development and services.

This PPA is part of a larger 1 GW solar portfolio that Origis Energy is developing regionally.
