The 'Vibes' feature, which first launched in September 2025 within the main Meta AI app, allows users to create, share, and discover videos generated entirely by artificial intelligence, offering an experience similar to other short-form video platforms.
By creating a dedicated app, Meta aims to provide a more focused and immersive environment for its AI video tools, capitalizing on what it describes as "strong early traction" within the Meta AI app. The company noted in its Q4 2025 earnings that content creation via its AI app had tripled year-over-year, a period that includes the initial launch of the Vibes feature. This move represents a deeper push into AI-native social media content.
