NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a subsidiary of NLC India, has won a tender for a standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Haryana. The project has a capacity of 265 MW/530 MWh.
SJVN Limited awarded the project at a tariff of ₹2.35 lakh/MW/month. It will be implemented for Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL) to help manage peak and off-peak power requirements.
Separately, NIRL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The agreement will explore renewable-energy-powered data centers and work in high-performance and quantum computing, broadening NIRL’s focus to green digital infrastructure.
