NVIDIA will enforce a 100-hour monthly playtime limit for most paid subscribers of its GeForce Now cloud gaming service beginning January 1, 2026. This policy was initially announced for new subscribers in 2024.
The cap now extends to existing members whose year-long exemption has expired. GeForce Now allows users to stream games they own from NVIDIA's powerful remote servers to various devices. NVIDIA claims the new limit will affect only about 6% of its total user base.
The only subscribers exempt from the cap are longtime "Founders" members. These members must have maintained a continuous subscription since before March 17, 2021. Users who exceed the 100-hour cap retain the option to purchase additional blocks of playtime.
