Opendoor Technologies Inc. detailed its new strategic plan, "Opendoor 2.0," during the Q3 2025 earnings call. The company aims to achieve breakeven adjusted net income by the end of 2026.

Opendoor drives this goal through three key initiatives: increased home acquisition velocity, a leaner AI-driven operating model, and the integration of financial services. The company shifts aggressively toward a technology-centric approach, featuring new products like direct-to-consumer home purchases and AI-powered home assessments.

This strategy forms part of a broader reset under the new CEO. Opendoor intends to operate primarily as a software and AI-first company, moving away from the capital-intensive home flipper model.

Opendoor also provided near-term guidance for the fourth quarter of 2025. The company expects a sequential revenue decline of approximately 35%. This decline stems from the liquidation of legacy home inventory, a process expected to keep contribution margins under short-term pressure.
