A federal appeals court upheld a $115 million class-action privacy settlement against Oracle. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed an appeal contesting the November 2024 approval.
The 2022 lawsuit accused Oracle of collecting and selling user web data without consent. Oracle agreed to the settlement in July 2024.
The appeal argued the settlement amount was insufficient. It also contested the fairness of the fund distribution.
