Oracle began construction on a new AI data center in Saline Township, Michigan. The facility aims to strengthen the nation's AI infrastructure.

Oracle partnered with Related Digital and DTE Energy for the development, which is expected to be operational by 2026. The facility will utilize a closed-loop, non-evaporative cooling system to minimize environmental impact.

The project will create 2,500 temporary construction jobs. Upon completion, the center will support approximately 450 permanent positions.

Oracle committed to substantial local investments, including $8 million annually for schools and over $14 million for community services. The company will cover 100% of the data center’s energy costs, ensuring no rate increases for existing DTE Energy customers.
