Oracle, in collaboration with AMD and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is set to provide the infrastructure for a new U.S. AI Factory supercomputer. The supercomputer, named Lux AI, will be co-developed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), AMD, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and HPE, and is scheduled for deployment in early 2026. Mahesh Thiagarajan, an executive vice president at Oracle, stated that the company will deliver sovereign, high-performance AI infrastructure to support the project's goals of advancing breakthroughs in science, energy, and national security. The collaboration highlights Oracle's continued momentum in securing large-scale AI and cloud computing contracts, positioning it as a key player alongside other major cloud providers. This announcement comes as Oracle's stock has seen significant gains throughout 2025, driven by the AI boom.
