POET Technologies is reportedly expanding hiring, particularly in Singapore, as it prepares to scale manufacturing. The company is recruiting for engineering, assembly, and testing roles to support production of high-speed optical engines, with volume shipments scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.
The expansion marks a key step in POET’s transition from an R&D firm to a commercial supplier. The company’s plans are supported by a $400 million strategic investment in May 2026 and are aimed at fulfilling significant customer orders, including a recent $50 million purchase order from Lumilens for AI data center products.
