Rain Industries subsidiary Rain Carbon Inc. partnered with Netherlands-based BioBTX BV to supply renewable aromatic products. The collaboration converts plastic waste into high-quality chemical derivatives to support a circular value chain.
Rain Carbon will process circular aromatic oil from BioBTX’s upcoming commercial-scale plant in Delfzijl, Netherlands. This facility is expected to begin operations in early 2028.
BioBTX uses proprietary technology to transform plastic waste into benzene, toluene, and xylenes. These products serve the pharmaceutical, coatings, toy, and automotive sectors with a lower carbon footprint than fossil-based alternatives.
