Redwire Corporation is expanding its use of digital engineering, applying advanced modeling and simulation to assess new space architectures and mission designs. The company is building end-to-end virtual environments that can model individual components, entire spacecraft, and full constellations.
These tools support missions in very low Earth orbit and geostationary orbit. They allow Redwire to conduct trade analyses, test concepts of operations, and evaluate designs before building physical hardware.
Redwire aims to use digital engineering to reduce development costs, accelerate speed to market, and optimize mission outcomes. As space systems grow more complex, its proprietary cloud-based software is designed to provide greater insight into system-level interactions and help the company deliver solutions for evolving missions.
The news follows a 3.6% stock decline on September 28. Some analysts have said Redwire appears significantly overvalued based on GF Value metrics.
