ServiceTitan released its 2026 Roofing & Exterior Market Report, surveying over 1,000 contractors. The findings reveal a positive industry outlook. Seventy-five percent of contractors expect revenue growth in the coming year, and 74% anticipate increased profits.
This optimism persists despite significant challenges. Contractors cite rising labor and overhead costs, a skilled labor shortage, and broader economic concerns as primary obstacles. Profitability remains constrained for many firms, with a third of respondents reporting EBITDA margins ranging only between 6% and 15%.
The report identifies a substantial opportunity for efficiency gains through technology adoption. Currently, the use of AI tools among contractors remains low.
