The Visa debit card allows members to accumulate miles on everyday purchases such as dining, retail, and groceries, with additional miles awarded for United-specific purchases like flights and in-flight services. The card is powered by Galileo's technology platform. To encourage adoption, United is offering a limited-time bonus of 10,000 miles for new cardmembers who meet a minimum spending requirement. This initiative represents an expansion of United's loyalty program, providing more options for members to engage with the MileagePlus ecosystem beyond flying.
