United Airlines reports a significant increase in winter holiday travel bookings from the United Kingdom to the United States. Demand from London rose 9% year-over-year. Bookings originating in Edinburgh surged 73% compared to the same period last year.

Responding to the strong demand, United expands its services by increasing frequency between London Heathrow and Chicago O’Hare. Flights on this route will now operate three times daily, up from two.

United also extended its service connecting Edinburgh and Washington D.C. This route will now operate through January 5, 2026.

The carrier noted a broader trend of increased travel toward warmer U.S. destinations, specifically citing Florida.
