United Airlines' regional network is set for enhanced stability as two of its key partners, Mesa Air Group and Republic Airways, are scheduled to close their merger on November 25. The deal will create one of the largest regional airline operators in the United States, which will continue to operate flights for United Express. Crucially for United, Mesa will enter into a new 10-year capacity purchase agreement as part of the transaction. This long-term partnership ensures continuity and operational scale for United's domestic route network. The newly combined and financially stronger regional carrier, to be named Republic Airways Holdings Inc., will operate approximately 310 aircraft.
