Valero Energy Corp. drew investor attention after Bank of America raised its price target to $414 from $395 on October 2, 2026. The move followed strong second-quarter results announced at the end of July.

Second-quarter 2026 revenue rose 48.8% year over year to $44.48 billion. Adjusted earnings per share were $12.54. That exceeded the consensus analyst estimate of $10.11.

Stronger-than-expected refining margins and increased profitability in Valero’s renewable diesel and ethanol segments drove the results.
