SK hynix amended its U.S. SEC registration statement to disclose a new legal risk ahead of its Nasdaq listing. Consumers and PC manufacturers filed an antitrust class-action lawsuit against SK hynix, Samsung, and Micron in a California District Court on June 25.
The lawsuit alleges the chipmakers coordinated to restrict DRAM memory chip supplies. This coordination reportedly led to artificially inflated prices for electronic devices.
The disclosure creates uncertainty for the debut of American Depositary Shares expected around July 10. Key offering terms and the final share price remain undecided.
