IOENGINE LLC filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung Electronics on September 22. The filing in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas targets Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, and fitness bands.
The suit alleges Samsung utilized five IOENGINE patents without authorization. IOENGINE seeks a court order to halt the use of the technology and is pursuing unspecified financial damages.
This litigation adds to a growing list of patent-related legal challenges for Samsung in the United States. Samsung has not yet issued an official response to the filing.
