Toyota Motor Corp. is planning a $2 billion expansion of its manufacturing campus in San Antonio, Texas.

The proposal, codenamed Project Orca, involves the construction of a new vehicle assembly line.

This expansion is expected to create an estimated 2,000 jobs.

The Texas Comptroller’s Office recommended a state incentive package for the project on May 28, 2026.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026 with the facility becoming operational by 2030.

Toyota stated the evaluation aligns with its strategy to manufacture vehicles in the markets where they are sold.
