Central Japan Railway reported a 3.0% rise in operating revenue. Revenue reached ¥492.72 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2026. Solid demand for its Tokaido Shinkansen line drove this increase.
Rising costs offset revenue gains, causing profits to decline. Operating income fell 0.9% to ¥219.17 billion. Net income slipped 1.8% to ¥142.66 billion. These figures compare to the same period last year. Both operating and net income surpassed analyst estimates. The company maintained its dividend forecast despite softer earnings.
