American Airlines has extended the suspension of its Middle East flight operations through mid-2026 due to escalating regional conflict. Service to Doha, Qatar, is now suspended until May 7, 2026. Flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, are delayed until at least April 23, 2026.

The carrier cited recent drone and missile attacks launched by Iran as the primary driver for the operational change. These hostilities have rendered regional airspace largely unusable for commercial flights from the U.S. and Europe.

The airline is issuing travel waivers for all affected passengers. Customers may rebook their travel without incurring fees or request a full refund.
