Apple announced new business terms for European Union developers effective October 1. These changes aim to resolve ongoing disputes with the European Commission and ensure compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

The update replaces the Core Technology Fee with a 5% Core Technology Commission for apps distributed outside the App Store. Apps using Apple’s In-App Purchase system will now pay a 26% commission. Small businesses using Apple’s payment system qualify for a reduced 15% rate.

Developers opting for alternative payment processors will pay a 20% commission. Small businesses using alternative processors will pay a 10% rate. These adjustments follow years of regulatory pressure regarding Apple's fee structures and competition.
