Apple has hired Sebastiaan de With, the co-founder and designer of the popular third-party iPhone camera app Halide. De With announced he is joining Apple's Human Interface Design team, marking a return to the company where he previously worked on projects including iCloud, MobileMe, and the Find My app.
De With is a well-known figure in the Apple and photography communities, recognized for his design work on Halide and in-depth analyses of iPhone camera technology. His hiring comes amid other recent changes in Apple's design leadership. The parent company of Halide, Lux, has stated its apps will continue, and simultaneously announced a public preview for the next version of its flagship app, Halide Mark III.
