A DigiTimes report states Apple plans to introduce OLED displays across several iPad and Mac product lines. This transition will occur between 2026 and 2028. The multi-year rollout includes future models of the iPad mini, iPad Air, MacBook Pro, and iMac.
This move expands Apple’s existing use of OLED technology, which currently features in the iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad Pro models. The upgrade offers users improved contrast, color accuracy, and power efficiency across these product categories.
Apple has not officially confirmed this roadmap. However, the report aligns with previous speculation from sources like Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Gurman suggested devices such as the iPad mini and MacBook Pro could receive OLED screens as early as 2026.
