Apple will increase the number of advertisements within App Store search results starting in 2026. This expansion introduces additional ad slots beyond the single sponsored placement currently shown at the top of search queries.

The move provides more opportunities for developers to promote their apps and reach consumers. Apple cites that approximately 65% of all app downloads originate from a search on the App Store.

Existing ad campaigns automatically qualify for these new placements. Advertisers cannot select or bid for a specific ad position, and billing will continue based on a cost-per-tap or cost-per-install model.
