Adobe introduced Quick Cut within its Firefly AI platform to automatically generate video first drafts from raw footage. The tool entered public beta on February 25, 2026.
Users upload multiple video clips and provide text-based instructions regarding the context, such as interviews or product reviews. Quick Cut analyzes the footage to identify key moments and assembles a sequenced rough cut on a multi-track timeline.
The system supports user-defined parameters including pacing and aspect ratio. This feature aims to reduce time spent on manual clip organization to prioritize narrative and creative refinements.
