Adobe integrated three flagship applications—Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat—directly into OpenAI's ChatGPT. The partnership allows ChatGPT users to edit photos, create designs, and manage PDF documents using conversational prompts within the chatbot interface.
This strategic effort aims to keep pace with competitors Canva and Figma, which already feature in the ChatGPT app ecosystem. Adobe seeks to make its creative tools accessible to the massive 800 million user base, potentially driving new user acquisition.
The integration arrives amid investor pressure for increased revenue generation from Adobe's AI initiatives. This follows a 23% decline in the company's stock price this year.
The integration is currently available on ChatGPT desktop, web, and iOS platforms. Android support for all integrated applications is coming soon.
