Adobe has launched its free Premiere video editing application for Android devices, nearly a year after its debut on iOS. The new app is designed to provide powerful, yet intuitive, mobile editing tools to a wider audience of creators, offering features like a multi-track timeline, audio enhancement, and access to Adobe Stock assets without a subscription, ads, or watermarks.
The new Premiere app will replace Adobe Premiere Rush, which will be discontinued on September 30, 2026. The Android version is optimized for various form factors, including foldable phones, and requires Android 13 or newer with at least 5GB of RAM. While the core editing features are free, optional in-app purchases are available for additional generative AI credits and cloud storage.
