AerCap Leases Three 777 Converted Freighters to China Southern, Expanding Global Routes

AerCap Holdings N.V. signed lease agreements with China Southern Air Logistics for three Boeing 777-300ERSF converted freighters. This model, known as The Big Twin, is the first passenger-to-freighter conversion program for the Boeing 777-300ER.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October 2027. The remaining aircraft will arrive during the first and second quarters of 2028.

AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly stated the aircraft offer a superior combination of range, payload, and efficiency. The freighters will integrate into China Southern’s existing fleet to support the expansion of intercontinental routes.
