AMD launched the Ryzen AI 400 Series and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series processors for desktops and mobile workstations at Mobile World Congress 2026. These chips represent the first desktop-class processors to support Microsoft Copilot+ PC experiences.
The new hardware integrates a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to accelerate on-device AI and large language model (LLM) workloads. The mobile processors deliver up to 30% faster multithreaded performance than rival products.
This release signals AMD’s strategy to capture a larger share of the AI PC market across consumer and enterprise segments. The processors are engineered to handle intensive applications while maintaining high power efficiency.
