Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) held a record-low 5% of the discrete desktop graphics card market in the fourth quarter of 2025. According to Jon Peddie Research data cited by Tom's Hardware, this represents the lowest market share in the history of the company and its predecessor, ATI Technologies.

Nvidia dominated the segment throughout 2025 and exited the year with a 94% market share. Reports indicate that AMD’s Radeon RX 9000-series GPUs failed to achieve significant consumer traction during this period.

The broader graphics card market saw a year-over-year increase in volume despite AMD's declining share.
