Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) will provide a $300 million loan guarantee for startup Crusoe. Crusoe will use the financing to purchase AMD’s artificial intelligence chips. The deal enables Crusoe to deploy the hardware at a data center in Ohio, according to a report from The Information.
AMD is backstopping the loan to facilitate a significant sale of its own products. This strategic move aims to expand AMD's market share against competitors in the AI hardware sector. The partnership fosters deeper integration for AMD within the growing AI ecosystem.
