AMD signed a 10-year data center lease and services agreement with Riot Platforms (NASDAQ: RIOT). The deal utilizes Riot’s facility in Rockdale, Texas.

The initial phase provides AMD with 25 MW of critical IT load capacity. Delivery begins in January 2026 and will complete by May 2026. Riot projects the agreement will generate approximately $311 million in revenue over the initial decade.

Potential expansion options exist within the contract. These options could increase AMD’s leased capacity to 200 MW. If fully realized, the total contract value would reach around $1 billion.

This news coincides with positive momentum across the broader semiconductor sector. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing’s (TSMC) strong earnings report drives this trend, bolstering confidence in AI chip demand.
