AMD hikes Radeon GPU prices 10% in August, citing rising memory costs

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) notified board partners of a price increase for Radeon GPUs and memory kits. The price hike of at least 10% takes effect in August.

This adjustment follows a similar price increase by Nvidia. Rising memory costs drove the decision.

The increase applies to the GPU die and video memory bundle sold to partners like Asus and Sapphire. These partners assemble the components into final retail graphics cards.

Consumers should expect higher retail prices due to sustained high demand. Analysts predict the ongoing memory shortage will persist until late 2027 or 2028.
