Amazon, Gap Inc., Starbucks, and Ecolab partnered with Water.org to launch the global initiative Get Blue™. The project was announced at Davos, Switzerland. Get Blue™ aims to accelerate access to safe water and sanitation for the 2.1 billion people globally who currently lack it.

The collaboration aligns business leadership and consumer engagement to support Water.org's market-driven solutions. Founding partners will develop and promote products, content, and experiences. These efforts are designed specifically to fund the water and sanitation solutions.

Kara Hurst, Amazon's chief sustainability officer, stated that access to safe water is fundamental for healthy communities and sustainable business. This initiative aligns with Amazon’s existing goals. Amazon aims to return more water to communities than it uses in its data centers by 2030.
