The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in India approved Amazon’s plan to merge its logistics arm, Amazon Transportation Services (ATSPL), with its primary marketplace entity, Amazon Seller Services (ASSPL).
This strategic move simplifies Amazon’s corporate structure within India. The consolidation of complementary businesses aims to enhance operational efficiencies and boost shareholder value.
Integrating logistics and marketplace operations streamlines processes within the competitive and increasingly regulated Indian market. Following the approval, Amazon Transportation Services (ATSPL) dissolves, and its liabilities and legal proceedings transfer fully to Amazon Seller Services (ASSPL).
