Amazon Web Services (AWS) on Friday denied it was experiencing a widespread outage. This denial followed increased user reports from the United States and India, which fueled speculation about service disruptions.
Outage-tracking platform Downdetector recorded a spike in complaints. These reports suggested issues across several online services dependent on AWS cloud infrastructure.
AWS stated its services were operating normally. The company attributed the social media speculation to an unrelated event on the internet.
Some users reported problems accessing gaming platforms, including Fortnite and Rocket League, during the period of increased complaints. AWS emphasized that its official AWS Health Dashboard remains the sole source for accurate data on service availability.
