Amazon ordered six additional Ariane 64 rocket launches from Arianespace on September 10, 2026. These launches support Amazon Leo, the satellite broadband network formerly known as Project Kuiper. The agreement increases the total number of planned launches with Arianespace to 24 by 2031.

Amazon intends to deploy a 3,200-satellite constellation to provide global internet access. This expansion intensifies competition with SpaceX’s Starlink and bolsters the European space industry. The companies announced the strategic partnership at the International Paris Air Show.

Financial analysts note that Amazon currently maintains a high Price-to-Sales ratio. Recent reports also indicate significant insider selling of company shares over the last few months.
