Anixa Biosciences received a notice of allowance from the Australian Patent Office for its novel breast cancer vaccine technology. The company is developing the platform in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic.
The vaccine targets a protein expressed in triple-negative breast cancer, the most aggressive form of the disease. This patent adds to Anixa’s growing global intellectual property portfolio.
The company’s pipeline also includes a CAR-T therapy for ovarian cancer. Strengthening patent protection supports Anixa's long-term commercialization strategy and attractiveness to potential partners.
