ASML Holding NV and Tata Electronics signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen India’s semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. ASML will provide advanced lithography tools for Tata’s new $11 billion fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat. This facility marks India’s first commercial 300mm wafer fab.
The partnership aims to establish a resilient domestic chip supply chain for India. The Dholera plant will produce semiconductors for the automotive, mobile device, and artificial intelligence sectors. The agreement also establishes local talent development and research initiatives to support long-term project success.
